A curved building located in Kounicova Street
This building is nicknamed rohlik (‘the curved roll’)
While on holiday in Bath, England, the architect Bohuslav Fuchs, who was to design the building for the Military Headquarters, encountered the Royal Crescent, an architectural structure laid out in an arc. He later designed this curved six-level building for Kounicova Street, intending to design an identical building across the street to mirror it. That project never came to fruition, though. Today, the building houses the University of Defence.
