A distinctive theatre with productions not only for children
This theatre where amateur ensembles used to perform became fully professional in 1999. Located a bit outside the city centre, Polárka Theatre (the name means ‘Lodestar’) is definitely worth a visit, not only for its productions intended primarily for children and young people, but also thanks to its productions for secondary school students and adults. This theatre is noted for its use of live music and its focus on original plays and stagings of stories and novels. Recently, its small hall (10 x 6 m) has been put to use for more intimate productions.
