Gustav Brom 100: ZŠ a MŠ Brno, Antonínská 3 (Primary and Nursery School)
interest in music
This building housed I. státní československá reálka (the 1st National Czechoslovak Real School). During his studies, Gustav Brom substantially developed his interest in music and, in addition to the violin, began to play the clarinet and saxophone. He started diligently studying both instruments with Josef Tomaštík, the director of the Brno conservatory, and in his fifth year founded the group R-Boys. As universities were closed, after graduating he turned with great verve to music.
