THESSALONIKI-BRNO: A new era of collaboration in art

“New Art Era Thessaloniki-Brno” is the exhibition’s title of five artists (visual creators), which originates from the Greek city of Thessaloniki and will be presented in the city of Brno in the Czech Republic.

After a difficult sociopolitical period in Europe and across the globe with the pandemic, economic degradation, environmental change and a new war, five artists hope with this exhibition to instigate a new creative-collaboration period through art.

The invitation of Atelier KreAt and the positive response from the Greek creators Alexandros
Dimitriades, Ioannis Kolaxizis, Paraskevi Kountouri, Maria Papadopoulou, and Christina Chatzimichailidou hopefully to lead to a new dialogue between artists and new collaborations.

The artworks which are presented in the exhibit “New Art Era Thessaloniki-Brno” were created in many styles and utilizing various materials in accordance to the inspiration and the intensions
of each artist and want firstly to satisfy the aesthetic criterion of the viewers and secondly to serve as food for thought.
