exhibition of architecture and design with an open mind

The avant-garde is about looking to the future, valuing progress, and keeping your mind open. This exhibition of contemporary Czech design works off of basic themes – humanity, nature, roots, and technology, phenomena which confront us every day – and invites interaction with installations by leading Czech designers.

The event belongs to the RE:PUBLIKA Festival.

We want to base the exhibition on the most progressive efforts in Czech design over the past 100 years. But we won’t be looking back – just the opposite. We want to use these ideas to show the future – a free city accessible to the creative minds of makers and visitors. There will be a structure into which designers and artists will place their installations and present us with their visions and ideas about what’s coming. Maxim Velčovský, H3T architekti, Jan Plecháč and Henry Wielgus, Krištof Kintera, Lucie Koldová, and many others will introduce their visions through works designed for the general public.
