Blind and visually impaired children and young people are meeting in Brno in May for the thirtieth annual Dark Blue Festival. They’ve prepared a series of performances, a fun “experience” day for the general public, and are rounding it off with the main event: a charity concert, the proceeds of which will make their way to visually impaired children. This year the international festival is not only a chance for children and young people to meet up, but also aims to connect with the wider public.
Come and support the kids, enjoy a puzzlehunt, watch how guide dogs are trained, and find out more about living with a disability.
The festival runs in collaboration with the social enterprise TyfloCentrum Brno, o.p.s., which organises e.g. an exhibition of work created by the visually impaired, as well as expert lectures and presentations of the latest IT for the visually impaired. The festival brings together children and young people from all over the Czech Republic and beyond.
So where has gone my once perfect vision?
Everything’s disappeared beneath a dense blue cloud.
A dark blue cloud.
