Forest park with wild boar, fallow deer, and mouflons

This forest enclosure is an absolutely exceptional place located less than half an hour from the city centre by tram or bus. Located among the Bystrc, Jundrov, and Kohoutovice municipalities on a relatively small (less than 330 hectares) and very hilly area, this park belongs to the Brno Woods (Lesy města Brna) company and has flat valleys as well as steep slopes. The Holedná Peak (391 metres above sea level) is located in the north. In addition to mouflons, who tend to avoid people, and the less shy fallow deer, which are fed by undisciplined visitors even though it is forbidden, the enclosure is home to many wild boar. In December 2020 the lookout tower close to the Holedná Peak was opened for public.

A nature trail leading along its paved paths is suitable for young children as well as seniors and ideal for an afternoon walk or jog. There are several ponds and beautiful secluded places, equipped with gazebos and relaxation areas as well as benches. Information boards present facts about the local animals.
